Here are some of the things we think about freedom.
Freedom is....
feeling like I can do whatever I want.
not being forced to do anything other people want you to do for them.
the United States flag.
soldiers and sacrifice.
not being controlled by other people.
like a birthday.
earned.
not being controlled by Great Britain.
not having slavery.
owed to the brave service men and women who gave themselves to America.
not free and has been paid for by our parents and their parents.
a responsibility.
blacks and whites being together.
New York.
my dog.
what our country represents to people from other places.
having educational choices.
having access to information.
being able to express oneself freely, having the right to dissent.
doing what you want to do.
awesome.
going to any church or school, going to any store no matter what color skin.
is being able to say what you want, read what you want, choose your religion, do what you want.
